This 1-hour class will be an introduction to the fabulous world of Jazz. Jazz has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms. For beginner and intermediate dancers, this class will physically focus on the technical execution of stretching, transitional movements, and using body awareness and muscle control to execute power skills. Emotionally, this class will teach the students to connect with their inner diva, and teaches them to use their power and confidence to work that stage!
Dancers are strongly encouraged to take Level 1 Ballet.
